On December 1st and 2nd, the Winterset Dance Team competed at the 2017 Iowa Dance State Championships at Wells Fargo Arena. The team won the Class X Pom division, the Class VI Hip Hop division, and the Class III Novelty division in order to earn the coveted triple crown. Additionally, the team received an excellence in academic achievement award for having a team GPA between 3.0 - 3.49. This year's team members include Maddi Bosier, Rachel Brown, Kayle Eivins, Jillian Jacobsen, Ellie Thomas, Lexi Weeks, and Emiliegh Weir. The team's captain is Lexi Weeks.
