The Husky Boys Basketball team won their 2nd game of the season on Friday night, defeating Carlisle 75-52, to improve to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in Raccoon River Conference play.
Freshman Easton Darling had a career high 27 points and was 7-9 from behind the 3-point line. Sophomore Casey Kleemeier added 16 points, including 2-3 from behind the arc. Junior Justin Henry went 12-14 from the Free Throw line in the 4th quarter, to finish the game with 12 points. The Huskies as a team went 20-21 from the Free Throw line in the 4th quarter after starting the game 0-5 from the charity stripe. Junior Nick Mortoza also had a career high of 13 rebounds for the Huskies.
The Huskies have a busy week on the road. They travel to Bondurant (Tues.), Ballard (Fri.) and Van Meter (Sat.).
