The Winterset Boys Basketball team came into Saturday's game at Van Meter on a 3 game winning streak but the Bulldogs used hot shooting from behind the arc in the 1st half to build a lead that the Huskies couldn't recover from.
Sophomore Casey Kleemeier led Winterset with 21 points, including 4 3-pointers and he went 7-8 from the free throw line. Both Justin Henry (Jr.) and Easton Darling (Fresh.) finished with 10 points each.
During the Huskies 3 game winning streak, they shot well over 40% from the field but Saturday, they only shot 33% (18-55), 31% from 3 (8-26), and 62% from the free throw line (10-16).
With the loss, Winterset drops to 4-6 on the season.
The Huskies will look to bounce back on Monday night as they travel to Jefferson to face Green County who is currently 7-4.
