On Friday, April 28th, WHS Students competed at the Skills USA State Competition held at DMACC in Ankeny. Skills USA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Skills USA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occcupations, including health occupations.
Justin Smith and Sydney Kaufman Placed 1st in the Entrepreneurship Competition. They had an excellent business plan and interviewed extremely well. Jalen Kleemeier placed 3rd and Brenden Kirk placed 4th in the welding sculpture division. Congrats to these WHS students and sponsor Scott Schiefelbein.
