The cross country team competed at the Mike Carr Invitational hosted by Ballard High School on Monday, September 11th, at Ballard Country Club. The girls team finished 4th overall out of 11 teams. Ballard took first, followed by Pella and DC-G. Sophomore Kiernan Blanchard was the top finisher for the Lady Huskies placing 16th with a time of 22:07. Riley Kaufmann placed 17th with a time of 22:11. Also running for the Lady Huskies were Dakotah Wilding (28th place), Kacie Cowman (36th place), and Lizze Wangler (39th place).
The boys team placed 7th out of 11 teams. Sophomore Wynn Yeager was the top finisher for the Huskies, placing 19th with a time of 18:08. Blake Ryerson placed 22nd with a time of 18:27. Also running for the Huskies were Luke Esser (28th place), Daniel Howell (40th place), Preston Rogers (60th place), Jackson Kimball (61st place), and Colton Seidler (68th place).
The Huskies next meet is Tuesday, September 19th, at Creston.
