The Winterset Cross Country teams competed in the Knoxville Invitational on Tuesday, September 26th held at Pine Knolls Country Club.  The boys team finished 5th out of a field of 17 teams.  Top runners for the boys were Blake Ryerson (16th), Wynn Yeager (26th), Luke Esser (30th), Daniel Howell (50th), Henry Comstock (58th), Jackson Kimball (79th), and Colton Seidler (81st).
The girls team placed 3rd out of a field of 14 teams.  Top runners for the girls were Kiernan Blanchard (24th), Riley Kaufman (25th), Lizzie Wangler (26th), Dakotah Wildin (32nd), Sophia Pastorino (37th), Abby Benshoof (46th), and Megan Hiatt (48th).
The Huskies are back in action on Thursday the 28th at the Perry Invitational.
